In some cases, documents originating from Hungary must be legalized before they are allowed to be used abroad.
If you want to use a Hungarian document in a foreign country that has signed the so-called Apostille Convention (international convention) then the international legalization of the document takes place with a so-called Apostille Certificate.
Legalization with an Apostille means that the official seal and signature on the document is verified by the competent Hungarian authority, and the document will be given a further stamp to prove this. This additional stamp is the Apostille certificate.
