You can now have your eligible Queensland documents witnessed by a Justice of the Peace (JP) or Commissioner for Declarations (Cdec) online through an audio-visual link.
This service can only be performed by a JP or Cdec approved by the Chief Executive of the Department of Justice and Attorney-General, known as a special witness.
Please note, a special witness does not need to apply their seal of office (i.e. stamp) to electronically witnessed documents.

To make your appointment, you will need to contact a special witness directly, through the search below and provide them with your name, contact details and description of the document that you require to be witnessed.
You don’t have to have your documents witnessed by video—you can still access the services of a JP or Cdec face to face through one of our JPs in the Community signing sites or through our after-hours JP search tool.
